yes, another year is over ... (O.o) ... time flies ... 5 years ago I bought my very first cel ... (*_*) ... so: Happy Birthday Collection!!! ... *does the happy dance* ...

nothing there to buy for the special day ... *sighs* ... so the last 3 items have to serve as celebration additon ... (^_~) ...

a big thank you to Joseishijin for letting her last Zetsuai Cel go ... m( _ _ )m ... can't thank you enough!!! ...
the second thank you goes to Tiokia for the Cathexis Douga auction ... (*_*) ... thank you so much for another Douga of that scene ...
I'll add a short animation of the 2 Douga today ... (^_^) ...
and last but not least again a big thank you to Mandarake for another Cel of my all time favourite scene ... (*_*) ... it's already the 5th Cel I have out of this cut and my 4th Douga ... I have to update the animation for them too ... (^_^) ...

the past 5 years were awesome ... (^_^) ... I was most of the time broke and I should really search for a sponsor, but hey ... (^_~) ...
the list of people I have to thank for making this Collection such a big one is really long, nevertheless today is the best day to thank you all ... (*_*) ...

wow ... that's a long time since my last blog ... (O.o) ...

after I reached the 356 days-mark without a new Zetsuai cel in my collection in April 2009, I was despaired enough to buy all the Cels left in Rick's Shop ... (^_^;;;) ...
*lol* ... I was so unutterable happy when I finally held them in my hands ... (*_*) ...
and then there was this great auction with 2 Cathexis Douga ... (*_*) ... (a big thank you to Nida again for calling my attention) ... (^_~) ...
also a biiiiiiiig thank you to Chris for parting with the Hanken/Harmony Cel ... it's like a long cherished dream coming true ... (*_*) ... *does the happy happy dance* ... (and still that unanswered question, what that Hanken was used for) ... (?_?) ... any help would be really appreciated!!!
then suddenly a Mandy auction popped up with another cel of my favorite scene ... *felt like heaven* ... well after the auction ended and after it reached a price much higher than I expected, it felt a little less like heaven, but hey ... (^_~) ...
last but not least: thaaaaaaaaaank you very much Jenn for letting one of your treasures go ... *does the happy dance again* ... (^_^) ...

well that was all of the Cel update since my last blog 9 months ago ... (^_^) ...

as for the rest of my life I had the first laser therapy of my retina yesterday to prevent retinal detachment which would lead to blindness ... (>.<) ... my eye is still aching a little but it worked well so far ... I will need at least 6 more of them ... it went unfortunately really slow because I had a circulatory collapse in the middle of it ... (O.o) ... never had one before ...

so I think that was all ... oh no ... one more thing ... I created a twitter page a little while ago ... *lol* ... I had to use an underscore ... all nicks were gone already ... (T_T) ...

well ... I thought my next post would be about me having had time to upload all the baeuties waiting to join my Cel Gallery, but it isn't ...

yesterday, when I drove home from work with my poor little baby-car I had a car accident ... someone bumped in me during a tailback ... I slowed down my car, but the woman behind me did not ...
my head bashed against the neck support ... luckily I was able to stop my car completely so that I didn't pushed the next car too ...
after that I was in the emergency room for 3 hours ... (>.<) ...the doc said it is a whiplash ... we will see ... I still have a splitting headache ... but the rest is well ... even my car looks not so bad ... (^_^) ... the other car was really trash ... it was a lowered one and because mine is quite high there are only some car body damages and a crooked exhaust pipe on my baby-car ...

I hope I can write about something nice next time ... (^_^;;;) ...

my last weblog was more than one year ago ... (O.o) ... and I'm still not done with all my updates ... (-.-) ... shame on me ...

but it happened a lot during that time ... after some seminars in England, I got a job as Software-Tester at T-Mobile Bonn in Germany ... (^_^) ...
the job is real fun, but I have nearly no time left for something else ... I'm really sorry for all the unanswered emails which are still in my inbox ... some for a bunch of months ... (>.<) ... SORRY!!! ... I haven't forgot you all, but I'm quite behind my schedule ...
and I have also not forgot about the Open House event 2008 ... I'll definitely write back everybody who worte me until X-Mas, when I have some weeks holiday ... promised!!!

back to the gallery topic:
can't believe that it's already the 9th of October again ... on the 9th of October in 2004 I began this cel collecting hobby ... so today is the first day of my 5th year of cel collecting ... yay ... *does the happy dance* ...

I'll celebrate it this year with adding something special to my collection ... I was able to get a little piece of the filmstrip of the Bronze OVA ... it was part of a lottery in the Margaret magazine in 1996 ... (^_^) ...

the auction description assumed that the two on the original drawing from Ryo Minami are Wakabayashi Genzo (?? ??) and Wakashimazu Ken (??? ?), but I'm quite sure that it's Izawa Mamoru (?? ?) and not Ken because it were also Genzo and Mamoru in the 4 Doujinshi pages from the same year which I have ... it also looks more like Mamoru than Ken and I never heared of the pairing Genzo × Ken drawn from Minami Ozaki ... (O.o) ...

but I'm open for any correction ... (^_~) ...

I also added the Bookmark for Ronin's Birthday in the album, if someone is interested ... and I hope I could add there soon the next one after Tex-chan's reply ... can't wait to hear her wish ... (^.^) ...

here we go again ... time is passing by so fast at the moment ... I'll finally made the evaluation of the Open House event ... Open House??? now??? I know I know ... I'm quite late for it, but I'd like to present you all the answers at least ... (^_^) ...

1. Do you prefer to see the whole scene from which the particular Cel/Douga comes from or would only a screen capture be better (at the moment both galleries have the complete scenes)???

- 11 of you really like the whole scene thing
- 3 would prefer having screen captures partly because of a slower internet connection
- and finally 7 of you like to have both ... because they like to see the exact screenshot too to compare

in result I decided to do both ... (actually I already made it) ... the scene and the screen capture are available now at least for my gallery ... I haven't had the time yet to do it for my mother too, but maybe in the near future ... (^_^) ...

2. If it exist, would you like to have additionally a scan from the picture/page of the Manga too (not yet in none of the two galleries)???

- 11 of you would like to have a Manga scan to compare the differences
- 7 of you think that it hasn't much to do with the Cel collecting thing or think it would be too much

well ... I searched for the scenes in the Manga and had to determine, that it would be nearly impossible for my collection, but for my mothers it would work ... so maybe I'll add some Manga scans instead of a screen capture in her gallery and quit this idea for my collection ... (^_^) ...

3. Do you prefer to see the Cels/Douga in chronological order of the OVA (Zetsuai) or separated into the different characters (Kizuna) or something complete different???

this question was a disaster!!! ... most of you have good points pro and contra both ... it was balanced ... so I think I'll keep everything like it is in that case ... (^_~) ...
the chronological way works well for my gallery and the separation into characters for my mothers gallery ... so why changing it ... *lol* ...

4. Does it look better to separate the Cels from the Douga (Zetsuai) or put them all together in the same category (Kizuna)???

- 5 of you like to have them separate
- 5 prefer them together
- and amazing 10 really wants to have the sketches attached directly under the cel ... (-.-) ...

even if so many of you like to have it this way, I fear I will keep my line ... it's because for me a sketch is also a unique piece of art and deserves to be treated like that ... additionally I have 4 sketches without a matching cel which I have to present separately anyway, so why not the rest too ...
for all you connection-lovers I have in the description of every Cel/Douga/etc the links to everything belonging to the entry ... (^_^) ...

5. Would you like to see further "Scene of the Month" (Zetsuai)???

the resonance for this question was overwhelming ... 19!!! like to have more of them and only 1 would prefer a shot of the month instead of a scene because of the slower internet connection again ...

so I think the 1 against was outvoted by a big majority ... (^_~) ...

6. Do you like the design of the two galleries or is the "Zetsuai" design too plain and the "Kizuna" design too playful???

here I was a very very VERY little bit insulted ... (-.-) ... you like the design of my mothers gallery more than mine by the majority ... BUT ... most of you like the Zetsuai design too ... (^_^) ... only 4 of you don't like the flames (even if some others of you think that the flames make them remember my gallery the most) ... unfortunately there were no improvement suggestions for my gallery and I must confess that I have a lack of ideas to change something ... there was the 1 of you who suggested to put the pictures of Koji and Takuto from the bottom banner to the head banner, but I fear that won't change much, but nevertheless thank you for the idea ... (^_^) ...

it's unbelievable, but it's true ... exactly on October 9th 2004 I bought my very first Cel and started collecting at that day too ... (^_^) ...

and this is the collecting result:
1st year: 12 Cels, 11 Douga
2nd year: 22 Cels, 12 Douga, 3 Genga, 4 Backgrounds

in total: 34 Cels, 23 Douga, 3 Genga, 4 Backgrounds

I never thought that I could top the first year ... (O.o) ... but it happened ... *does the happy bunny dance* ... I'm quite curious what the 3rd year will bring ... (^_~) ...

by the way ... after visiting so many galleries with animated gifs, when they have several Cels/Douga from one scene I tried to do it myself too, even if I have at the most 3 Cels from one scene (the others only contain 2):

I made my questions together with the questions for the gallery from my mother (http://kizuna.rubberslug.com), because she is not so fluent in English ... we will also give our feedback for all the other galleries together, so you're all welcome to send also only one feedback for our 2 galleries together ... what a week ... I'm still not fully recovered (got additionally a big summer flu) ... (-.-) ...
but that's not all ... the first Cel package (from the auction last month) was held by the customs office ... *argh* ... so once again I drove across the city and fetched the package ... *does the no fees happy dance* ... (^_~) ...
the second package with the 2 sweet Serika Cels arrived on July the 30th in Germany and was held by the customs office for 2 days and left the office for delivery (I watched the tracking number), but it didn't arrived yesterday, so I began to worry (usually it only takes one day from the customs office, if they deliver it) and also today it seems that no package will arrive and then the postman rings ... *smiles* ... (^_^) ...
I had to pay some fees this time, but nevertheless I'm very happy that all Cels arrived save ... (^_^) ...

fortunately I got additionally the opportunity to pay for them in 2 steps ... the first part is paid, but until I did not finished paying in the middle of next month, I won't add the 2 Cels in my coming soon category ... so please be a little patient ... (^_~) ...

but I think I could already say that they are both Cels of Serika again ... one blushing with a beautiful smile and the second one in the rain with umbrella (the Cel comes with a Layer
of water puddles and the original matching Background) ...

... I hate the german customs office??? ... the package with the 8 Zetsuai Cels from the Yahoo auctions was held from the customs office once again, but I'm such a lucky girl, so that I did not have to pay any taxes ... *does the happy bunny happy dance* ...
so I do not hate them very much, but the shock, that the package did not arrive directly costs me some years of my life, like the one hour drive with my car across the city with the precious goods ... (O.o) ... but now they are saved!!! ... (^_~) ...

it took the whole weekend and the monday to scan everything, but finally they are all in the Gallery:

as some of you maybe already noticed, I added bilingual (German and English) descriptions to every scene of each Cel and Douga during the last 2 days ... (^_^) ... the descriptions for the Cathexis Cels are unfortunately very short, because there is not so much plot in the clips ... but the Zetsuai and Bronze descriptions are a little longer instead ... (^_~) ...

please feel free to let me know, if some of my English descriptions are too clumsy ... (^_~) ...

the 3 Zetsuai Douga from Uende arrived today ... (^_^) ... I already made the new scans and added them in the Gallery ... (thank you very much Wendy!!!) ...

in preparation for the 8 new Zetsuai Cels to come, I have sorted all Cels and Douga occur the sequence in the OVA's (except the *Coming Soon*s) ... the Name still has the continues number in the order I bought them ... I hope it is not too confusing ... (O.o) ... but I thought if I sort the Cels and Douga in that way it may be easier to find a certain Cel ...
I will also add the accurate minute and second in which the Cel or Douga was shown in the OVA soon ... (^_^) ... please enjoy ...

it's a hard day for me and my mum ... I bought 2 weeks ago a Kizuna Cel for her gallery (http://kizuna.rubberslug.com/gallery/inv_info.asp?ItemID=148115) and today I got a mail from the seller, that the package was returned and arrived totally torn ... *cries badly* ... how could something like that happen??? ... I will get a refund, but the Cel will be lost forever ...

I can't believe that this nightmare became true ... (-__-) ...

nevertheless a wonderful Cel of Genzo Wakabayashi ... unfortunately I have no idea from which of the Captain Tsubasa series it comes from, so any help is welcome ... (^_~) ...

by the way ... Minami Ozaki made over a hundred Captain Tsubasa Doujinshi ... most of them with Kojiro Hyuga and Ken Wakashimatsu, but also some with Genzo Wakabayashi (like in the 4 Doujinshi pages I own) ... that's why I decided to buy a Cel of each character Minami Ozaki used for her Doujinshi too ... (^_^) ...

Takuto looks so great ... I can feel his pain while looking at him ... (^_~) ...

and it is signed by Minami Ozaki herself ... amazingly the signature has the same date on it like my other signed Bronze Cel ... seems to be a day full of signatures the 1997-03-02 ... poor Minami-sama ... *g* ...

but one thing is different ... my first Bronze Cel has an extra layer for the signature ... this one is signed directly on the Cel ... strange ...

but to keep the connection between Cels and their Douga I put a link under each picture ...

after getting the new acryl-colors I tried some more FanCels last week ... I used some of my favourite Pokémon ... (^_^) ... so I painted Pichu and Evoli (which is called Eevee in the english version, when I remember right) ... I also painting a FanCel of Son Gohan, but it's not ready yet ... but the Douga of it is finished ... I put them all on deviantART ...

I won't put them here on Rubberslug, cause the motives are not from Zetsuai ... and this is a Zetsuai-Gallery ... another reason is that I wan't to try to sale them on eBay to earn a little money for my Japan-trip in september ... I hate german customs offices ...

I know that I had mentioned it before ... but I really hate german customs offices ... *walking angry around* ...
today I got another bad news from german bureaucracy ... a nice little green card (I also hate green!!!) with the request to fetch the Cel package and pay some custom duties for it ...
it's the third time now that I have to drive two hours at the other end of my town, although there is a customs office behind my house ... but no!!! they can't send it to this customs office ... but they could take the package and send ist three towns further to give it a stamp there and than send it back to my house with some more duties for this little "voyage round the world" ...

but now it's weekend and so I can't fetch it until monday ... two more days my two poor cels have to sit sadly in the package and no one can haer their cries ... (-.-) ...

so please keep your fingers crossed for my cels that they will survive this martyrization ...
